What is a TMS?

Transaction Management Systems (also called TMS) can have features that vary greatly among different technology vendors. While most vendors offer certain basic functionalities such as contact management and calendaring, the VOBRE TMS is actually an online collaboration platform that permits all transaction participants to work together on a transaction in order to expedite the closing of the transaction. Each participant, whether it is a real estate agent, escrow agent or appraiser, loan originator, loan processor, loan underwriter, buyer or seller, has a unique interface tailored to his/her role in the transaction. The participants can share or preclude others from data and documents. The parties can set up workflow templates for each transaction type so that there is consistency and efficiency when processing transactions.
